ELCDC is Lending!
February 4, 2010

Despite recently-passed legislation that has encouraged banks to increase lending to small businesses, it remains difficult for small businesses to gain access to these funds.

The shaky economy is making banks, big or small, more conservative especially when it comes to lending money.

Enchantment Land Certified Development Company (ELCDC), the only New Mexico-based provider of SBA 504 loans, is ready to help small business access the funding they need to get started and will work with banks, big or small, to do so.

Many individuals tend to go with smaller local banks when it comes to their own finances, but choose to go with the larger bank chains when financing their business, perhaps believing that only the bigger banks are the ones with access to the Small Business Administration (SBA) allotted funds.

ELCDC has worked with large national banking chains, local community banks and credit unions to assist qualified businesses obtain the financing required to grow all kinds of New Mexico businesses such as medical offices, small architectural firms and home healthcare facilities.

Financing approval is dependent on other loan and credit criteria, but the money is out there and ELCDC is willing and able to work with any qualified banking lender to get small business owners the financing they need to get started.

With the help of ELCDC, a certified development company authorized by the SBA to provide financing through the SBA 504 loan, small business owners can work with local banks and still get the financing needed to make their dream of growing their business a reality.

Since its inception in 1992, ELCDC has approved over $286 million dollars in business financing projects around the state. When leveraged with first mortgage lender financing and the borrower equity contribution, ELCDC has supported almost $854 Million in economic development financing throughout the State of New Mexico. These projects have resulted in the creation and/or retention of 11,534 jobs for the people of the State of New Mexico.
